Lilly's weekly triple agonist lowered A1C more than the top Ozempic dose and roughly doubled its weight loss at 80 weeks in TRANSCEND-T2D-2. The data are topline and open label, and more people stopped the higher dose for side effects.

An NYU Abu Dhabi working paper finds subsidised Ozempic users in Denmark became more likely to work and employed Wegovy users worked more hours. The job entry effect varies by method, and the tax claims rest on a model.
Malaysia's Health Ministry told Parliament it seized 697 units of unregistered retatrutide in 12 raids since 2025. Lilly's triple agonist is still in Phase 3, with a US filing planned for the first quarter of 2027, so no product can be legally sold.
